Announcement

In place of Lion, I’ll be subbing Usotoki Rhetoric for fall. This drama is based on the manga by Miyako Ritsu and stars Suzuka Ouji and Matsumoto Honoko. From the trailer, it looks like the drama will be as fun as the manga! I will be juggling work & studies, so releases may be slow/irregular.

Synopsis:

Set in the early Showa era in the town of Tsukumoya, this story follows the adventures of a penniless, debt-ridden detective, who has a keen eye for detail, and his assistant, who has a strange ability to detect lies.

Urabe Kanoko (Matsumoto Honoka) has the ability to hear lies and has been shunned by people because of it. In order to not cause trouble to her mother, she leaves the village where she was born and raised. After arriving in Tsukumoya, she collapses due to hunger and is rescued by the detective Iwai Souma (Suzuka Ouji). Souma tells her that her ability is “wonderfully handy” and offers her a job as his assistant. Together, they solve difficult cases.
