- Pyit Taing Htaung, also known as Myanmar Tumbling Kelly, is a traditional Burmese toy famous for always getting up by itself when thrown down. The egg-shaped toy is made from paper mache and have faces painted on in vivid colors. People believe that having a Pyit Taing Htaung toy has a lot of good meanings. It was also named the Yangon region’s mascot.
- The Matryoshka doll are a set of wooden dolls of decreasing sizes placed one inside another.
- Tsuru no Ongaeshi (鶴の恩返し, literally “The Crane’s Return of Favor” or sometimes also known as “The Grateful Crane”) is a story in Japanese folklore about a crane who returns a favour to a young man who saved its life. You can read about the story here.
