Thank you for being patient with me over the past 12 weeks. This was one of the most beautiful dramas I’ve subbed, though it was also one of the most challenging due to how the Japanese language works. I found myself researching JSL a lot as well. I can say I recognise quite a few signs now! Also, thanks to this drama, I’ve fallen into Minato black hole lol. Expect to see me picking up some of Ouji-kun’s works in the future.

hope this isn’t taken as too nitpicky but am curious about your usage of “spoiled” in a few instances (spoiled iPod, spoiled ears of Sou… et al) when I would have expected “broke”, “damaged” etc.
Why “spoiled” in those instances?

This series used deafness as a way to explore communication, and by extent, what makes us human among other humans.
You could say that both the 10th and 11th Episodes are the more philosophical ones, but you still have to go through all the previous episodes to get them in context and ponder on their meaning.
The fact that you had to become more aware due to sign language and its meaning makes me respect your effort even more.
