A couple of Japanese proverbs were mentioned in this ep :-
- 縁の下の力持ち (en no shita no chikara mochi), literally “someone that supports the entire house from under the floor”. This is someone who works in the background, people who do great deeds but get little recognition, people who do thankless jobs or simply unsung heroes.
- 石の上にも三年 (ishi no ue ni mo san nen), literally “to sit on a stone for three years”. It conveys a lesson in patience. Perseverence brings success. Sitting on a cold stone for three years will eventually make it warm.

I didn’t think that I would like this drama, but I gave it a try. This first episode was wonderful. Thanks very much. And the font you picked for the credits on the title slide was great.
